Maine Fall Foliage Mountain Workshop
Sept 30 - Oct 7

In the Fall, James Corwin Johnson hosts an annual Fall foliage photography workshop in the Rangeley Lakes region in the western mountains of Maine. Participants will stay in David's historic lodge on the north shore of Rangeley Lake during peak foliage season.
Settled over 150 years ago, the town of Rangeley is steeped in history and offers panoramic lake and mountain views, moose and loon sightings, waterfalls, and plenty of old New England charm. James will lead participants on excursions that include, but are not limited to: Smalls Falls, the Height of the Land, the Rangeley Overlook, Coos Canyon, Eustis Ridge, Grafton and Dixville Notches, and the Presidential Mountain Range featuring New England's highest peak--Mount Washington.
Covered bridges and old farmhouses dot the landscape, and winding country roads lead the traveler with a camera to a myriad of photographic possibilities. All this is set in a landscape bursting with reds, yellows, and oranges, as maple, birch and poplar trees create a splendid scene set against the evergreens, lakes, and rivers.
Advice in the field on camera techniques, composition, and lighting will be offered. Group and individualized tutorials aimed at optimizing images through Photoshop and other programs are also shared fireside back at the cabins.
Cost - $1,795.00 Includes: Workshop, seven nights accommodations, transportation to and from Portland airport and throughout the tour and packed lunches during photo excursions.
Exclusion: Round trip airfare to Portland, Maine (PWM)
For reservations and information, contact James Johnson at 941-922-1800 or [email protected].
