In this hands-on class we will explore the tools available yo photographers in Photoshop. James will demonstrate a feature, then the class will do it together and finally participants will do it on their owm. Equipment - Laptop
Session One:Understanding Digital Photography
Understanding digital photography has never been easier! This class provides an overview of digital photography camera operation, designed to simplify your understanding, of how the camera works including: Full automatic, (believe it or not most people do not know how to properly use the auto modes)The Program modes, program modes are just like automatic, except they offer the photographer more control. Learn the techniques, that determine which mode to choose, and why.This class will also cover: The ISO, Metering Modes, White Balance, Picture Styles and more.
Session Two:Exposure & Histograms, The Meter
This class is designed to simplify your understanding, of how the camera thinks, and sees. Learn the process of how to read your meter, and control your exposure. The Histogram is a graph of your exposure, and is used throughout the digital imaging process. Learning how to achieve proper exposure is the key for producing quality images.
Session Three:The Art of Seeing, Learning to See Light
Photography is all about the light. Learning how to see your subject, in relation to the background, determine your camera position. The uses of flash, reflectors, and the introduction of other light sources, are presented to demonstrate, how to improve image quality beyond the limitations of your camera.
Session Four: Photoshop for Photographers
Learn time saving tips on downloading, Saving, Sizing, Sending and posting your pictures. This class will demonstrate what to do with your digital images. The class will feature Photoshop Elements, as the application for filing, processing and sizing you images for a particular use. Other photo applications will be discussed.
